Born a few decades too late

Friday night was mine and my hubby's first date overnight without the boys in...let's just say WAY too long. We won a dinner at La Marie's and a night stay at the local B&B The Claremont House. We had an amazing time! I ate a wonderful black and blue steak and potato salad....my mind can't really figure out why there were potatoes on the plate...didn't really add anything but still amazing! Zach ate steak and shrimp (yuck). Then a walk around and a few stops. We had to walk across the footbridge we got engaged!

Next off to the beautiful Claremont house!

Pictures of our room...I was in heaven around all these antiques! I feel as though I would be able to pull off a hoop skirt. When we woke up the next morning we were treated to the most delicious breakfast and then explored the grounds a little.

Zach pointed out the beautiful figures in the tiles...had to have been hand painted. They don't make houses like this anymore.
The fireplace that was in the downstairs bathroom.
 Beautiful staircase
Window mantle...there are only two known to still be in existence...Rome, GA has one and the other is somewhere in Maine.

Built in cabinets on both sides of doors
Family vault
I want one of these mirrors so bad, but also wanted to show my outfit. Lilly was a huge influence! Shorts are from Spring, but shorts, shirt, shoes (just bought in store but are not online)  here are similar are all American Eagle. Tank is from Gap here. Bag Fossil (old) love this one.

We had a great time and can't wait to go back...maybe at Christmas when they have tons of trees and lights up! I'll try to post about Chattanooga tomorrow, but tonight I think I'm going to go watch HOP with Jamey. Good Night!
